Executive Vice President Corporate Development, GEO Group
David Venturella is the Executive Vice President for Corporate Development at the GEO Group, the world's leading provider of correctional detention, and residential treatment services around the globe.
Prior to his new role, David served U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as acting Director of the Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) , Assistant Director of ERO Field Operations and the Executive Director of the Secure Communities Program. Mr. Venturella began his federal law enforcement career in Chicago in 1986 with the former Immigration and Naturalization Service, having served as a deportation officer, assistant district director and deputy district director.
During his career, Mr. Venturella has successfully negotiated bi-lateral repatriation agreements on behalf of the United States government, served as a U.S. representative to the semi-annual U.S./Cuba Migration Talks, was selected to co-chair a White House working group on a proposed guest worker program and participated in the development of the Secure Border Initiative.
From 2004 to 2008, Mr. Venturella served as vice president and as director of business development for two private sector companies focusing on homeland security issues.
Mr. Venturella holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University and successfully completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program administered through Harvard University and MIT.

The ICE Foundation is a non-profit organization created to honor and support the contributions of the over 20,000 ICE employees in over 400 offices in the US and 46 foreign countries. We recognize the leadership and proud legacy of service to our nation by ICE and its predecessor agencies. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors who act as ambassadors in promoting the traditions of ICE and a deeper understanding of the role ICE plays in protecting our country and its citizens. The Foundation supports numerous programs and projects through donations from individuals, corporations, and special fundraising events.
